The Bristol Blenheim is generally overlooked in favour of the more 'glamorous' aircraft of the time, but that doesn't make the work their crews did any less important or dangerous. As the title suggests the book covers a number of roles and missions, some of which the aircraft was more suited to than others. Focusing on the early part of the war and ending with the Battle of Britain, it illustrates how both sides were evolving tactics to counter each other and getting organised in a number of theatres of war. Using a variety of contemporary sources as well as interviews with those that operated them the author shines a light on Britain's forgotten bomber and the crucial role it played.
